The members of the Serbian Theatre „Gimnazijalac“, impressed the Sarajevo Youth Theatre with the play “Everything’s all right” and won the Grand Prix of the 6th International festival of high school theatre Juventafest.
The play directed by Dušan Blagojević, based on Jasminka Petrović text, simply enchanted the audience and jury members Emina Minka Muftić, Slađana Zrnić and Igor Pavlović.
The jury, that had a difficult task set by the programme selector Asja Krsmanović, awarded the Special Prize to the brilliant and numerous high school students of the The Second Gymnasium Maribor, Slovenia for the musical “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, which opened this year’s Juventafest on Thursday at the Sarajevo National Theatre.
Also, worth pointing out that the opening ceremony of the Festival was followed by the opening of the exhibition of poster proposals by the students of the Academy of Fine Arts, Department of Graphic Design, Gallery of the Academy of Fine Arts, that together with the plays „A Midsummer Night’s Dream“, „Only a Dream“, „Low Fat Life“ , „The Wave“, „Test“ and „Everything’s all Right“ made Juventafest rich and diverse.
The sixth Juventafest was held from 13th to 17th September and hosted more than 150 young theatre creators from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Czech Republic. A series of workshops for students and professors was successfully realized who presented their work yesterday at the Center for culture and youth in Municipality of Centar Sarajevo, OU Jelićeva and the audience had the opportunity to enjoy the performance of six great plays.
All participants stayed in Sarajevo during the five festival days, and ended the time spent with friends with the afternoon parade from Eiffel’s Bridge to the square in front of the Sarajevo National Theatre.
